WE GIVE YOU THE OPTION…
Every time you rent from Hewitt Rentals, you can have the peace of mind knowing the equipment you rent is protected. Losses arising from fire, theft or direct physical damage from vandalism to the equipment, providing it is used for its specific purpose and not misused, is covered under this plan.
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS…
Our Fire-Theft-Vandalism Protection is automatically added each time you rent from Hewitt Rentals. The cost of FTV is calculated at 14% of the total rental charge, but the option is always yours. If you already have coverage and can provide us with written proof of insurance naming Hewitt Rentals Inc. as beneficiary, you can decline the FTV option by initialing the box on the front of our rental contract.
WHAT IS COVERED?
When you accept the Fire-Theft-Vandalism Protection and agree to the additional fee, Hewitt Rentals will waive its claim against the lessee for damage to the equipment due to fire, theft and vandalisim for any amount in excess of the following:
- THEFT: 10% of the retail price of new equipment.
- DAMAGE DUE TO FIRE AND VANDALISM: 10% of the cost of repairs to the equipment.
